March & April Things to Do in Lancaster County
You know there’s always something going on in Lancaster County, These are a few of my upcoming favorite things. If I made a whole entire complete list, you’d be reading until lunch time tomorrow. Let’s start with these!
If you’ve never seen a show at Sight and Sound, you’re missing an astounding experience. The stories are soul-moving, the sets are massive, the special effects are incredible, and the LIVE animals are so cute. SO worth the price of admission! Don’t be a Philistine; book your tickets in advance to be sure to get the date and time you want.
Your $5 wristband allows you to sample chili from participating Main Street businesses. Try any or all that you want while supplies last, then vote on your top five favorites. Five bucks! Take THAT, Inflation! Friday 5-8pm & Saturday 11-2pm. Tickets can be purchased at the Main Street Mount Joy Office the day of.
If you’ve traveled Ventura Highway or have been through the desert on a Horse with No Name – with or without Sister Golden Hair – you know what I’m talkin’ about. This is a one-night show for all my sisters and brothers who grew up in the 70s when America will be at Amercian Music Theater. Get your tickets in advance and you won’t be one of the Lonely People.
What will the Easter Bunny leave you on Easter morning? Guests staying two or more consecutive nights at Olde Square Inn (to include the 16th) will wake up to an Easter surprise right outside their doors! No hunt needed! You can click here for direct booking.
Nothing screams Lancaster County like Roots Market. Open every Tuesday year ‘round, starting in April they’ll have Saturday hours from 9-9 as well. What can you find? Oh, fresh meats, bakery, deli, flowers, gifts, crafts, produce, antiques, and whatever else you can think of. I love that it’s so close to the Inn and I can easily run out and back for the week’s provisions. And it’s super fun.
Every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month at 10am et, you can watch our live cooking demonstrations on Olde Square Inn’s Facebook page. Later in the afternoon, you can join me for a discussion on that morning’s recipe along with high tea which includes a sample of what’s been cookin’. You can make your reservations at https://letscookwithnancy.com/shop/. Space is limited to eight people per session.
