It’s our first time at a B&B. Is there “curfew,” and how do we get back in at night?

No curfew. You’re free to come and go as you please. Your room key locks and unlocks your room and opens the top lock of the side porch entry door, which is our main entrance.

We keep the porch lights and interior lights on all night. When returning, just let yourself in and lock up behind you.

What if I don’t like what’s being served for breakfast, or if I have food allergies?

No problem. Our menu is posted right inside the entry door, and we always ask at check in if the food is to your liking. If not, we’re happy to make you an alternate dish. Additionally, when you book you can let us know of any restrictions you might have. With advanced notice we can accommodate most diets

Can we use the kitchen or the microwave to reheat leftovers from dinner?

In the interest of food safety, we cannot reheat leftover for guests, and insurance regulations prohibit guests from using the kitchen.

We don’t know the area. Can someone help us plan what to do? Can we just hang out?

Of course! Your Innkeeper is an expert on great things to see and do in Lancaster County – just ask! There are also lots of brochures, maps, and magazines with favorite places to go. You can also enjoy the balcony, sit on the porch, cozy up in front of the fireplace in winter, lie by the pool in the summer – or relax in your room!

Do you have “Quiet Hours”?

We encourage all guests to make themselves at home while being respectful of others who are staying. Many of our visitors enjoy the peacefulness that a B&B offers. Our Quiet Hours are from 10pm to 8am.

If you’re still feeling festive after 10, there are many great pubs and restaurants within walking distance that would be great places to help you celebrate. We might even join you.

If you have pre-arranged with us for family or friends to stop by, visitors must depart by 9pm

Yikes! We broke something. Now what?!

Accidents happen. If it’s something that could put you or another person in harm’s way, please let us know right away. If it’s not urgent, tell us before you leave so we can make repairs for our next guests’ enjoyable stay.

We never blame of shame, mostly because we’ve broken more than our share of stuff. However, according to our policies, guests can be charged for irreparable damages.

Does anyone enter our room while we’re away?

We consider your room your private space. Unless it’s an emergency, we will not enter with without first asking. Housekeeping is by request.

Do I have to leave a tip?

Tipping is never expected but is always appreciated by our staff who work to make your room spotless for your relaxing visit.

Great place to stay! Had a great time. Nancy welcomed us with opened arms. Our room was clean and comfortable. We had dinner at Bube’s after we arrived it was a short walk and even around midnight seemed safe walking. The next morning Nancy made us the most wonderful breakfast. The French toast bake was out of this world. We will stay again if in the area. Thank you!

Great Birthday Weekend Getaway Charming Inn, room was very cozy and comfortable. Nancy is so wonderful and she serves up a gourmet breakfast to die for. My wife and I really enjoyed our stay, so many little personnel touches that make your stay memorable. We will certainly be back and look forward to our next visit.

Cozy pre-Valentine couple getaway My hubby and I enjoyed our stay 10/10! Nancy was the most gracious hostess, and her cooking was top notch! She is very knowledgeable about Mount Joy and surrounding towns, and it helped us find great shopping and eating. Everything was so clean and neatly decorated. We splurged and added a custom charcuterie and wine upon arrival. The mix of treats was so perfect and it was enough to snack on for 2 days. We will be back during warmer months. Thank you!! Wonderful Getaway! We loved our stay at the Olde Square Inn. We were there for New Year's Eve. The Inn was beautifully decorated for Christmas, we even has a small tree in our room! Nancy, the innkeeper was so welcoming and helpful with any questions we had and made us feel so welcome as soon as we arrived. We also enjoyed a delicious made from scratch breakfast and she even sent us with brownies to go that were probably the best brownies I've ever had! it's evident that Nancy loves what she does and she does it very well! I would definitely recommend staying here and we hope to return.

Great place to stay Excellent stay. The bed was comfortable, the rooms well appointed with a great gas fireplace, and the breakfasts were delicious. The house has a lot of charm and Nancy is a top rated host that exceeded our expectations.

Meeting the parents! We stayed in the cottage in the back of the property. It was so charming and comfortable and all the comforts of home. We didn't have breakfast, had other plans, but it sounded so yummy. very convient to town. The only recommendation I would make is for softer pillows.

Great B & B in a quaint little town! Nancy was very friendly and made us feel like friends. Our room was beautiful and clean. Weekend Getaway Stayed with my wife, and another couple went with us. The place was extremely neat and clean. Nancy was a great hostess, and we asked for suggestions on some things. Nancy was spot on with her recommendations. the breakfasts that we received on Saturday, and Sunday was outstanding. Highly recommend - What a wonderful stay! As with any B&B, things start and end with the innkeeper. Nancy is a wonderful host, amazing cook, and opens her lovely home to guests. Breakfasts are worth getting started for, there are several work areas for us “work from everywhere” folks. The rooms were clean & comfortable. If your business takes to Mount Joy or the Lancaster area, staying at the Olde Square Inn will be a highlight of your trip.
