Absolutely! Take a leisurely drive through Amish country, following back roads and stopping at roadside stands for fresh produce and baked goods. We also have a Covered Bridge tour you can drive which includes nearly 30 landmark bridges. Of course, you don’t have to do all of them in one day!
A car is the most convenient way to explore the sights, especially those in the Amish countryside. However, once you reach your destination, you’ll find that the small towns are very walkable.
While credit cards are widely accepted, especially in larger stores and restaurants, some Amish shops and roadside stands may prefer cash. While some also accept checks, it’s always a good idea to carry some green.
