At the Inn & About Town
Murder Mystery Weekend November 3 & 4 – or by request
What do you get when you combine a beautiful Inn staged for a theme party, a group of people dressed for the event, a fantastic catered dinner…and a MURDER?!! You get a whole ton of fun.
Meet new friends or bring your own group for a weekend that you’ll be talking about all year.
You would think that the sleepy town in Deadwood Valley might welcome company of acrobats, musicians, dancers, and clowns – as well as games of chance, sideshows, exhibits, and stunts. Circus Master Max is having a hard time setting up the Greatest Show on Earth.
He’s decided to hold a (mandatory!) pre-party for the troupe, but with mayhem brewing around every corner and bad feelings among the performers, trouble is bound to happen. This is where your evening begins….
How It Works
Once you make your reservations we’ll send you a character sheet with your backstory and costume ideas. It’s your job to dress accordingly and play your part the night of the party.
Once you’re here you’ll be given objectives before the evening starts – things you should ask another character or evidence you should place – but there are no lines to memorize.
As you play your part throughout the evening, you’ll enjoy a catered dinner, themed stations for circus games, and you’ll be taking note of what the other characters say to you.
Somewhere it the night, a murder happens! YOU might be the killer OR the victim, but you won’t know until the party begins and you receive your objectives. After the crime, you (even if you’re dead) and the other guests will look at the evidence to determine the guilty party.
There are prizes for naming the killer, best costume, as well as a few other surprises at the end.
Tickets are $80/per person and are in addition to your weekend stay. You’ll receive:
- Character backstory and costume ideas
- Party bag at the Inn to help set the mood
- Catered dinner
- Dessets
- Themed activities
- A shot at prizes
- A story to share with everyone you know

Dinner With an Amish Family
Available most Friday or Saturdays by appointment
One of the reasons people come to Lancaster County from all over the world is their interest in the Amish people and their lifestyle. Known for their plain dress, hearty foods, beautiful farms and simple living, visitors love learning more about them. One of the best ways you can do that is to dine with an Amish family in their own kitchen, tour their farm, and talk with your Amish hostess. When you stay at Olde Square Inn we can arrange an Amish dinner for you for an experience you’ll never forget.
