EVERYONE loves great things to do when beautiful weather calls.
This April there are a ton of things to do in beautiful Lancaster County, and I have a few of them for you right here. So take a look, pick your favorites, grab your friends and family, and go for it!
- April 3 – 19. Best Kept Secrets Tour – This is fun! You travel to any of the shops or restaurants on the tour in any order at any time or day the places are open. You also get little treats and coupons and specials. You can get your tickets here!
- April 5. Rails and Ales – Try craft beers surrounded by cool train collections in the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania from 5:30-9. It’s the Museums 8th annual fundraiser.
- April 10. Kokedama workshop at Nissley – Whaaat? It’s the Japanese art of growing hanging plants in balls of moss, and it’s the Nissley art of wine tasting. Grab a friend and go!
- April 12. Cherry Blossom Festival in Marietta – Who doesn’t want to see 150 Cherry trees in bloom along Front Street? The event runs 1-6pm with vendors, food trucks, and music.
- April 12. One Night of Queen – We will, we will rock you at the American Music Theater! What else is there to say?
- April 19. Vivaldi’s Four Seasons and More Candlelight Concert – Imagine a concert in a dark venue with only candles to light the stage (LOTS of candles!) and you’ve imagined this performance. It’s a multi-sensory experience.
- April 20. It’s Easter! We’ll hide all your visiting relatives at Olde Square Inn, leaving you free to exhale after the festivities. Stash your Aunties and Uncles at our beautiful B&B. We’ll take care of them.
- April 21. It’s Grahm and Nicole’s 13th Wedding anniversary. If it’s also your anniversary, you get a free overnight stay on this date. If it’s your 13th anniversary, we’ll throw in a bottle of bubbly. Show me your marriage license and enjoy our unique accommodations! (Grahm and Nicole are my grandkids’ parents – incase you were wondering….)
- April 23 – 27. Calling all antique-ers: You’re invited to the Antique Extravaganza in Adamstown! Find something special or just spend some time browsing the gajillion shops.
- April 26. Horse and Book Auction – Now there’s something you don’t see every day. The Robert Fulton Volunteer Fire Company is offering over 3000 books and 120 horses on the grounds for your perusal, as well as food trucks selling delicious snacks. If you can’t find something there, maybe your neigh-bor can. (See what I did there?!)
- April 26. The Fresh Brews of Mount Joy – It’s Mount Joy’s first annual brew fest with over 50 breweries and wineries, food trucks, and local dining. Get your tickets, then book your stay at the Inn, just a two blocks from the festivities. We’ll take care of your sorry self with a great breakfast the next day haha!
- April 27. Lititz Annual Plant Exchange – You’ll really dig this, if you know what I mean. Click here for all the instructions for the plant-swapping party at the Mary Oehme Gardens on Main Street. It’s a rain or shine event, so get your plant babies ready.
Did you find some fun events calling your name? It’s time to make plans. If you’re looking for more great things to do, get in touch. I’d be happy to help you plan your itinerary. I’m here to help!
