Since the loss of our Basset Hound, Baxter, we have decided to become a dog friendly bed and breakfast. Higgins, our lovable and playful Basset, also has passed on. We enjoy our new Basset named Koko, a little female, and already she has learned to keep us all waiting on her. Having a friendly Basset Hound keeps us pretty busy, but we always enjoy welcoming our guests and their puppies. We all wish our pets could go everywhere with us, and we are here to try and make that a little bit easier for you! So puppies, tell your owners they don't need to leave you behind when they go on vacation! With a pet travel carrier and lodging reservations at The Olde Square Inn, you and your owners can say goodbye to the kennel and enjoy taking your daily walks in the friendly town of Mount Joy, Pennsylvania!

WE HAVE SOME PET TRAVEL TIPS FOR YOU

• Your dog must be in a crate if you are not in the room with him, no exceptions.
• If your pet is sensitive, you may want to bring your own water, along with his favorite food
• Upon arrival, introduce your pet to the innkeeper
• Ask if there are designated areas for your pet
• Never let your pet sleep on chairs, blankets, or furniture unless covered with your own linens
• Put your pet's food and water bowls on a mat
• Never take your pet in dining areas or let him roam free
• Always keep your pet on a leash and never take him where he is not wanted
• Remember that your pet is at an unknown place and it may scare him
• Try to keep a TV or radio on or put a favorite toy in the crate while you are out
• Always clean up after your pet, inside and outside
• Wipe muddy paws before entering the building
• If your pet damages any property, let your innkeeper know immediately and offer to pay for any damages

There is a $15.00 charge per day, per pet. We do limit how many pets we take at the inn at any given time, so please plan ahead of time for your pet.
